Ilona knew she was destined to do hair since she was six years old.
Living in San Francisco in her teenage years and began her styling career at eighteen. She is always pairing styles to meet her clients’ needs, creating the perfect image that fits with each client’s personality, shape structure, and skin tone. She previously worked as an independent stylist for sixteen years before opening her own Addiction Salon in San Francisco in 2004, a stellar boutique hideaway in off-the-beaten-path Potrero Hill. With a lot of referrals and write-ups, people found their way from different cities to get their makeover by Ilona and would continue to fly to her (and to fly her out) to get their hair done because they were addicted. After running the salon successfully for thirteen years, with the urge to travel and explore new places, Ilona moved to Los Angeles to spread some of her magic to Southern California. With her knowledge of hair she always wanted to work in television and fashion. She got her make up certification with Michael Vincent Academy the most known in SoCal for on set production. In the very short time she has began her production career on set of music videos, fashion editorial work and on the set of movies.

Ilona is super talented and she brings so much joy to the work she does. And when you’re on set for long days, having someone like Ilona brightens the atmosphere. She was the key hair stylist on my film Blood and Glory. She came up with detailed ideas on how we can bring realism to our different characters’ appearances. She understood the story, kept detailed continuity notes, and thrived in the fast-paced indie film shooting schedule. I would highly recommend working with her.
